Buchanan Projects was founded in 1985, when people who had previously built their reputations for achieving engineering targets on petrochemical and large industrial sites took the opportunity to establish the company with the aim of Delivering Confidence in Engineered Solutions by providing client with the most practical and cost effective solutions for a diverse range of engineering projects.

Today BPL is hard working, greatly experienced and highly qualified, still with the aim of Delivering Confidence in Engineered Solutions to very happy clients. With an accumulated knowledge and expertise of the principles, gained from local and offshore projects, BPL is able to provide experienced management, engineering, design, programming, draughting and lighting design, well in excess of the firms years.

Roy Buchanan

Roy has has 46 years experience in the Electrical Industry, from major generating plant, through high voltage distribution systems, to power and control systems for end users.

As Managing Director and Project Engineer, Roy is responsible for the operation of the company, overseeing and co-ordination of projects undertaken, and the preparation and maintenance of technical standards and quality assurance for the company.

Roy’s key skill is the ability to put together a team to carryout the project management, engineering design and programming of a project, on time, within budget and to the required quality standard.
